Most people have aches, pains, and stiffness that causes them to limit or modify their activities. At KinetikChain Denver Physical Therapy we help you get back to doing everything you want, need, or love to do pain-free and for the long term so you don’t’ have to worry about your injury ever again.
We help people in Denver quickly recover from pain or injury so they can stay active in their favorite sport/hobby, exercising, and get back to what they love to do.
We started in a small room in the back of a crossfit gym in the fall of 2016. Over the years we have moved out of the gym and into an upscale shopping district (Cherry Creek) and then as we continued growing moved again, still within Cherry Creek, to a bigger location.
Right now we have me, another physical therapist, and an office manger. We are looking to add more members and services to the team this year.
While we deal with the traumatic injuries, car accidents, and surgeries that everyone associates with physical therapy, most of our the things we treat are aches, pains, and stiffness that have been around a long time. Maybe the pain has been there so long that the client doesn’t even remember when it started; it has just slowly got worse over time till it is interfering with their life. As far as body parts if your pain or stiffness is in the following areas we can help neck, shoulder, elbow/wrist, back, hips, knees, foot/ankle.
Preventing sciatica can be tough, but since sciatica is the victim we have to ask ourselves what is the culprit? The culprit is ultimately caused by you not moving as well as you can somewhere else (low back, hips, and mid-back most commonly). If we can get you moving optimally either at the very start of having pain/stiffness or ideally before you starting having pain we could give you a good shot of preventing sciatica.
For our in-person clients, we focus on hands-on treatments (joint mobilization, massage, stretching, fascial stretch therapy, etc…) as well as giving specific exercises tailored to your issues. For our telehealth/rehab clients we focus on teaching them self mobilizations, mobility, and strengthening exercises virtually. Primarily right now we see active adults who have a need or passion to get back to what they love to do.
Most importantly I think the amount of time we give our therapists to work with, communicate with, and follow up with our clients gives them the ability to provide the high level of care physical therapists are trained and eager to give. Having an hour of uninterrupted one-on-one time with your patients will make all of the difference in a patient getting better or living a life full of frustrations and doubt. Other than that, we have an extensive hiring/screening process ( interview time over 3-6 months) where we spend 15% of every week going over patient cases, doing technique reviews, and improving communication skills to make sure we find and retain the best therapists and staff.
I have already mentioned how I think the time we can spend with patients is a huge advantage. We also have niched down to treat a similar type of patient so we see not only similar injuries but also similar motivations. When we can know what motivates someone and know how to solve their injury we can communicate on a different level and help our patients when nobody else could.
We offer a free 20-minute phone call to see if we think we would be a good fit to work together before you ever invest your time to come see us. For most people, we also start with a free 20 min discovery visit where we discuss your issues, put you through a mini examination, give you a diagnosis, and give you several paths going forward. We say this is kind of like a medical first date where we can make sure we can help you and you can make sure you like and trust us.
I have been a Certified Rolfer for about 10 years. In 2019, I became a Certified Advanced Rolfer.
I work as an individual provider, so no employees. I typically see around 8 to 10 clients per week. With the demand, I can sometimes get quite booked out. However, in these unusual circumstances of the coronavirus I am of course not taking any clients at present.
The majority of my clients come to me because of chronic pain, and a smaller number come because they want to change their posture. Rolfing structural integration works through the lens of alignment. I don’t focus on my clients’ specific symptoms or pains, but rather seek to affect their alignment, helping their bodies to release compensations and imbalances that have accumulated over a lifetime. This invariably helps them to recover a sense of well-being and relaxation. Most of the time, the chronic pain issues are either completely resolved or vastly improved.
I work strategically with most of my clients over several months, usually a total of 10-15 sessions. Over this time, they are aware of their bodies changing significantly. I am also helping them to become aware of holding, postural, or movement patterns that are affecting their bodies, and most of them find that with their increased awareness, these patterns begin to change, so that it is possible for them to live and move more comfortably day to day.
I work from a lovely, bright studio that is nonetheless very private. I take a thorough history of each client, and look at their structure before beginning the touch portion of our work. Then I work with the client manually for about an hour. My techniques involve touch, pressure, and tissue manipulation, but also passive and active movement. Afterwards, I work with the client in standing for 10-15 minutes as a kind of re-education, helping them to become aware of old patterns and explore new ways of being and moving that will serve them better.
I am passionate about my work. For that reason, I don’t overbook. I take only the number of clients that will allow me to provide the best possible service. Also, I allow adequate time for solid communication with my clients. I want to hear everything that they have to tell me, as their subjective experience provides important clues that will help me to develop the best strategies for achieving our goals. Finally, I don’t limit my work to the bodywork only. It is important to me to provide my clients with the movement and patterning experiences that will allow them to keep the benefits of the work on into the future.
My clients’ lives are changed by my work, and they let others know about that. When people come to me, they are getting more than just a bodywork session; we are collaborating on helping their body to become a resource, not an impediment, to their life. My motto is “Make room in your body for your life.” I think that resonates with people.
Everything is a bit up in the air right now with the Coronavirus. I look forward to life returning to normal. I know that there will be a lot of people out there who will need some help in order to recover from the stress of this crazy time. I am eager to serve when the time comes.
I opened Genesis MedSpa in 20007. We were initially in a 4 treatment room facility. In 2012, we moved into a 7 treatment room site and, in 2016, added 3 more rooms. I currently have 22 employees and several thousand clients.
Our most commonly requested treatments are those that are anti-aging. Neurotoxins and fillers make up approximately half of our revenue. In addition to anti-aging issues, we treat acne and perform services such as laser hair removal, tattoo removal, spider vein removal and body contouring.
The number of sessions needed varies according to the age of the tattoo, the ink colors and whether it was profesionally done or not. In general, most tattoos take between 4 – 8 treatments.
Most of our clients are females between the ages of 40 – 50. Approximately 10% of our clients are males. Our clients do extend from the age of 11 through mid-80’s. We offer complimentary consultations, during which we identify a client’s concerns. The consultation includes a computerized skin analysis, which helps us in guiding them towards appropriate products and treatments. We believe strongly in education and in allowing patients to play an active role in the decisions regarding their skin. We are always respectful of budgets and try to offer 3-4 treatments for any particular skin condition which accomodates different amounts of money people are able to spend.
We engage in constant staff training and pride ourselves on having the best equipment available for any treatment we are doing. Not only do we do frequent in-house staff trainings, but I send staff to conferences whenever possible. Staff also frequently perform treatments on each other so that they can give feedback and assess what works best. Our trainings consist not only in reviewing products and treatment protocols, but also include issues such as customer service and good phone etiquette.
The aesthetic industry is very competitive. Our edge is that we provide the best overall experience of anyone in our area. This starts with creating a beautiful environment, with a comfortable waiting area, soft music and nice art on the walls. We offer wine, beer, tea, coffee and flavored water to our clients (as long as they are of age!). We maintain a tight schedule so that we run on time and don’t keep clients waiting. Each client gets a small vase of flowers on their way out the door. All of this is in addition to the fact that they receive excellent treatment from well-trained aestheticians who are using state-of-the-art equipment. Lastly, we set ourselves apart by always having a physician on site.
We have just introduced Radiofrequency microneedling and will have that on special in order that our clients can try it out. Every year we have a few very fun events, such as Botox Bingo, Casino Night and our Holidaze Party, during which all of our products and treatments are on sale.
I’ve been practicing Active Release Techniques since 2015 working with many competitive athletes and complex soft-tissue injuries. Currently, we have a sports chiropractor (myself), an office manager and a myofascial massage therapist.
We see many neck and shoulder issues, providing a comprehensive care protocol which includes chiropractic evaluation and care, Active Release Therapy as well as other effective manual therapies, and corrective exercises to ensure lasting resolution. Other common injuries include neck or back pain, hip and knee injuries, and jaw disorders.
We are FMT certified though Rocktape and adapt our taping protocols from the evidence and research provided. Kinesiology taping can have a different therapeutic effect depending on how the tape is applied to the body. Some applications are to help correct posture or a movement patters, some can be to provide some pain relief and decompress injured tissue, others can help reduce swelling and edema. It just depends on what the patient needs are.
Our patients come in all shapes and sizes… being well trained in many patient populations and special conditions allows us to work with all musculoskeletal conditions. Above traditional chiropractic care, our services are comprehensive and offers longer appointment times to assure proper assessment, accurate diagnosis, and thorough treatments for every patient, every visit.
The doctor upkeeps and holds additional licenses and certifications to provide the effective, evidence-based and patient-centered care. These licenses include a Certified Chiropractic Sports Physician (CCSP), Full-Body Active Release Techniques (ART), NASM Certified Personal Trainer, Rocktape FMT, SafeSport Trained, FMS/SFMA, and others that ensure the doctor can provide the best care based on the most up to date practices.
There are many people in need of chiropractic care. We provide a comprehensive approach to chiropractic care and physical medicine and have success with more complex cases, even after other therapies have failed. We also provide personalized care and create a strong doctor-patient relationship.
Yes, we periodically offer specials which we list on our website when available.
